On December 21 2012 the Mayan long count calendar comes to an end. Many researchers believe that this end date coincides with the end of the world as predicted by the Mayans and other ancient civilizations around the world.

The Mayan calendar is a fairly complicated system as it consists of three calendars that are interconnected. The first calendar is the religious calendar and consists of 260 days that are divided into 20 weeks that each have 13 days in them. The second calendar is the Solar calendar which like our own has 365 days but is divided into 18 months of 20 days each. The last five being unlucky days. These first two calendars are not what researchers are worried about, its the last calendar which is called the Long Count which is unsettling. While the first two calendars can be seen as two interconnected gears rotating, the long count is more linear and is a much larger time frame. Through research it has been determined that the Long count began on the 13th August 3114 BC and ends on December 21 2012. The Mayans were obsessed with timekeeping and astronomy and it seems they were aware of the Galatic allignment. The Galactic Allignment occurs on December 21 2012 and is basically when the earth and sun allign with the the Milky Way Galaxy center. The Mayans referred to the galaxy center as the dark rift, a dark place of the underworld.

Recently astronomers have discovered a supermassive black hole at the center of the Galaxy which correlates with the Mayans "dark rift". The russians have been building a huge underground facility in the Yamantau mountain which is somewhere in the Ural mountain range. It is believed that it can hold 60000 people and its only purpose seems to be for post nuclear or post apocalyptic scenarios. The Russians refuse to give a straight answer on its purpose even though it has been built by successive party changes in the government.

In the United States there has been a lot of suspicious activity in the building of the Denver International Airport. Conspiracy theorists believe that the US government and the free masons are secretly building an underground facility there for the coming 2012 event.
